Research projects consist not only of the work of scientists in laboratories, but also a wide scope of activities of an administrative personnel: accountants, lawyers, project managers. Only an integrated and fully-competent project team, where each person strives to achieve a common, clearly-defined goal, is capable of ensure effective management of research conducted with the use of a large research infrastructure.

That is why interns will not only gain wide experience abroad, but also, after their return, will participate, in co-operation with their administrative personnel, in training complementary to the internship, conducted in Poland by both Polish and foreign experts. The effect of the training will be the development of a coherent policy of management of a large research infrastructure of Polish scientific-research institutions.

The management personnel of the Beneficiaries covered by the support, representatives of financial and legal departments, to mention just those two, are informed about specialised training addressed particularly to them, either by electronic mail or by placement of relevant information on the project website at least two months before the schedules date of training. Participants in the training confirm their application by electronic mail.

Sample topics of offered training:

  • organizational and legal forms for large R&D centres,
  • commercialisation of research results,
  • common use of the research infrastructure,
  • protection of research results,
  • public procurement,
  • public aid,
  • personal data protection,
  • project profitability and a financial gap,
  • issues connected with VAT,
  • management of human resources in a research organization.

The catalogue of issues may be extended and adapted to specific needs of the Beneficiaries covered by the support. The Beneficiaries are welcome to inform us about any arising needs/topic of training: a detailed training schedule will be prepared by the end of 2013.
